Essay Sample 2:
All education (primary, secondary and further education) should be free to all people and paid and managed by the government. Do you agree or disagree?
Essay Type: Opinion essay
It is a well-known fact that education can play an important role in people’s lives. Today, the number of people going to school or university is rapidly increasing. Some people claim that people should pay their education expenses from their own budget. Others believe that all education should be free for all people who want to study. It has been a controversial issue for a long time. It seems to me that governments should provide free education to all their citizens.
The first reason why all education should be free is accessing academic skills. Academic skill is one of the essential things that people need to obtain. For instance, people having better academic skills always get higher scores in their education life. Therefore, the education system should be free for individuals to create an environment that they can improve themselves. Education fees can reduce students' motivation and distract their attention. Similarly, they can concern about how to pay the whole education expense. Instead of thinking of expenses, they should give importance to more academic issues.
Another reason why all education should be free is that they may quit school if they are not able to pay the school fees. No one can deny the fact that not all people can pay the whole education expenses so it can result in irreversible problems for people who want to take decent education and improve themselves. If education is not free, individuals might decide to drop out of their school. As a result of this, they can deal with some high stress. People who want to develop their skills should be encouraged by governments. Besides, governments should provide scholarships for individuals who cannot afford their education fees. It is a well-known fact that individuals receiving a proper education are likely to improve their countries in the future.
To sum up, people should be encouraged by governments and they should provide free education. At least, governments should provide scholarships to all students who cannot afford their studies. By helping their society, governments can provide a better future for their citizens.
