What is the difference between Firstly / first of all / at first?
- Firstly /first of all /At first
Firstly and first of all introduce the first item in a list or sequence. (opposite: finally, lastly)
At first means at the beginning of an event or period, especially when the situation changes.
At first, I enjoyed the course, but gradually I began to lose interest.
